ACHS is a nonprofit, membership-driven organization.

We hold monthly meetings during September through May – and sometimes other months – with  interesting programs focused on history related to Albany County and Wyoming.

The role of the Society is first, to plan, to promote and to sponsor educational programs for the Society and the public on historical subjects pertaining to Albany County and to Wyoming in general; second, to encourage its members and other local residents to do research, author articles and reports and accomplish publication of same; third, to promote interest and support for the Laramie Plains Museum, which the Society helped to establish; fourth, to maintain a website comprised of original history articles written by members and friends of the Society; fifth to support the Albany County CattleWomen’s Annual Ranch tour and other local history organizations and events.

We thank you for your support!
